How to Update Aadhaar Card Online

Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identification number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Updating details like name, address, date of birth, gender, or mobile number is straightforward and can be done online or offline. Most demographic updates are free, but biometric updates (e.g., fingerprints, iris) require visiting an enrollment center and may incur a small fee (around ₹50-₹100).

**Important Notes:**

- You'll need your Aadhaar number and a registered mobile number for online updates.

- Always use official UIDAI websites to avoid scams. Never share your Aadhaar details with unauthorized sources.

- If your mobile number isn't linked, visit an Aadhaar center to link it first.
